To mark the 30th anniversary of its original release, Kasba Music is reissuing Mentemblanco, the third album by the legendary La Banda Trapera del Rio, with a new design and remastered tracks. Mentemblanco is one of the greatest albums by the band from Cornellá and the one that brought the group back to life after their return to the stage in 1993. Seventies rock “n” roll (proto-punk, some would say) with a working-class theme. Probably the weakest part of the original work was the visuals, with a design that hardly represented the musical content, which is why in this 30th anniversary edition, the album is wrapped in new packaging, with a collage made from press clippings and live photos of the band from that era by our beloved and much-missed Xavier Mercadé.
