Homo Polonicus is the eighth album by BULBULATORS – the best Polish ’77 punk band, released almost exactly on the occasion of the band’s 30th birthday. Homo Polonicus is made up of 10 new numbers, one oldie but goldie, and of “Ambicja” – a cover song, originally released by the pioneers of Polish punk, Kryzys. The tracks you’ll find on Homo Polonicus are terrific punk rock songs that stick to the tradition of melodic ’77 punk and are reminiscent of bands like UK SUBS, the Damned, the Lurkers, and the Ramones. The meaningful lyrics – some prankish, some very politicized, provide a space for commenting the surrounding reality without mercy.
