The quintessential classic of hardcore punk from Germany! In the early 80s, this album not only had a massive influence on the emerging anarcho-punk scene in West Germany at the time, it defined it. NKULULEKO is considered BLUTTAT’s most popular album and was new and unique in this form in 1984. Nineteen straightforward, mostly hard tracks, most of which are accompanied by singer Attis‘ rough and raspy voice. And then there are those brilliant melodic breaks in songs like “Nightmare” or “People.” The lyrics are highly political, with a focus on South Africa, hence the album title, which translates as “freedom.” This work is further refined by numerous samples that skillfully capture the zeitgeist of the 80s. Limited pressing of 333 copies on silver 140g vinyl + MP3 download code, inside-out cover + A2 poster. The cover and back cover have been graphically redesigned and the original artwork on the inside has now been converted and expanded into a 6-page insert.
