A real clash of titans to celebrate 20 years since the release of “Quale Destino Per Noi…” by the Banda Del Rione, an album that many still regard as iconic for its genre.
Attaccabrighe, Sempre Peggio, Nabat, Pretesto, Klasse Kriminale, Gli Ultimi, Plakkaggio and Azione Diretta: eight bands for eight tracks containing the sound and instances of early 2000s Turin. It seems impossible, but more than 20 years have already passed since Eugy & associates published together with Rome’s Oi! Strike this bombshell that swept through and shocked the Italian scene, influencing and determining the way punk was written and played in Italy in those years.
„In the autumn of 2003 I was just over 20 years old, whereas today I am just over 40,‘ Eugy comments. This idea was born to revive a series of songs that still seem tremendously relevant after a few years and to put a point between the endless lines of my thoughts, about a story that could still tell me and give me a lot, but that unfortunately has ended.
Quale Destino Per Noi is 20 years old and I have chosen to celebrate this important milestone with this LP. The heroes and friends of a lifetime, whom I want to personally thank, are participating in this record. This record will be a nice dip into the past that I would like to pick up in another 20 years and listen to again with a veil of pride and nostalgia.“
The cover features an old flyer that a very young Zerocalcare decided to draw when the Banda Del Rione disbanded.
