Description

The Konken was a Turkish café in Kiel-Friedrichsort and in 1989 and 1990 it was a venue for up-and-coming bands from the fields of punk, hardcore, metal, experimental rock and folk. After the concerts were banned by law due to noise complaints, the contract of use expired and the Konken had to make way for a car park. This tape, released more than three decades later in an ultra-small edition, contains 17 unreleased live tracks in acceptable quality by bands like Tiny Giants, Go Ahead, A.L.D.I., Grup Gencler and others, all of which were recorded at gigs at the Konken. A loving testimony to almost forgotten Kiel subculture history.
