“Zartcore” describes well the 13 tracks of the first longplayer, which FINNA wrote, recorded and produced herself, together with her musical partner SPOKE. Downbeat to midtempo, the music has a floating, dreamy, cloudy atmosphere. FINNA not only raps, she can also sing great. She effortlessly manages to combine every personal story with political content; topics such as self-empowerment, empathy, body and sex positivity, self-esteem and self-protection, her own role as a mother and, above all, an always disarming honesty are her trademarks. “Zartcore” is a surprising impact and a great hiphop debut!
